Bug in Godzilla

While looking outside the window of a bus, I was wondering if I could shoot down the radio towers popping up from the roofs in an overtly crowded place. It's too many out there. They come in different sizes and shapes. Then I took a look inside... equally irritating state of human existence. Everyone is busy with the thumb on a glass-like surface. They are 'communicating' via those towers. The pocket bombs are radiating non-stop. Why to waste time? Why to stay alone? Why to be on our own? Let's break the geographical boundaries just with a tap of my thumb. 10Y back these devices were not there, 5Y back these applications didn't exit. Today we don't exist without them.

Only a truly creative head can conceive God. The idea of God, in its essence, isn't that bad by any scale of aesthetics.Very few people in this world have either been able to appreciate or challenge it straightaway. The trouble brews up with the larger section of the species who are born consumers. They like the idea in short bursts, once or twice during a sunny day or throughout a bad day. At other times, they are tied up with their senses. They aren't gifted with either creativity or rationality. Think about people who go to a foreign country to make much more money than they ever could being in India, love the hazard-free lifestyle and pollution-free atmosphere so much that they never want to come back to India (barring a few visits to the sacred motherland, or on special occasions like bidding goodbye to dying parents, acclimatizing their children with their 'root', signing a few important real estate deals etc). Some of them never miss reading Indian e-newspapers even for a day. They find out 2-3 nearest religion customer care centers (e.g. temples etc) and pay regular visits. They take special interest to keep their kids aware of Indian culture while maintaining a different citizenship. This God-friendliness is a window to their Indian-ness. Even after being fascinated by that country's everything-on-earth, they don't change their religious identity. Fear of God is such a dominant force! I mean if someone switches loyalty from one God to other, the former one may force him/her back to where he/she came from. That's too much of a price for a childish act of consistency. Or take those resident Indians who wake up in the morning, visit a God-house, spend hours in some 'dhanda' to maximize profits without any interest in laws or ethics of any land. They sometimes have a gala event every month where like-minded folks gather to celebrate a larger scale family musical with high tea. Usually these events start on a sombre note. Relatively well-known singers lend their voices on God-songs. Many are firmly based on some old or new Hindi film songs, but the offering comes revised lyrically. I like the interactive ones, where the subject matter expert throws a question to the audience, and they oblige with a melodious reply. Women find these events as the only exposure to outer world beyond TV. They find it a much rooted getaway than a movie theater. As the chords progress, the tempo of the background music gets aroused, blood gets pumped to the brain faster and soon the excited crowd stand up to do something similar to dancing. Women, as long as covered reasonably and not sporting pelvic thrusts of any sort, are allowed to join the party. The climax ends with a 'dhamaka' section, where the Adrenalin has rushed to the peak. Everyone is up on their feet and the percussions are on a roll. There is a hysteric frenzy in the air, all are sweating but not ready to stop their moves, all have let their hair down and all are equal now. On the whole it's a decent utilization of an evening together with family and friends where God is paid a loyalty-tax. Then we have the traditional folks who on their way to office keep showing respect to any form resembling their God on the street and sometimes cheering the artifact with a coin. Let's say a middle-aged man, extremely middle class in his earning, is discussing about a recent scam. Suddenly he raises his face, looks outside through the window of the bus, finds something demarcated as God-ly and takes a 20 secs break from the debate, performs a respectful gesture and comes back to reality seamlessly.

I once read about the money trails of a few famous temples. It's so engrossing. These places accumulate huge sums at the end of each day. God is not known to be keen on money. But there is enough of money (cash, gold etc) in front of it. Where does it go? Or in a poor man's version of such a temple... let's say a stone under a banyan tree, marked divine with some childish art... there is a plate or a box to collect donations. How does it get emptied every morning? Does this money go in the welfare or maintenance of God? God doesn't need to be taken care of. It takes care of us. Then which ocean does these money streams flow into? People who run or are the beneficiaries of any form of God-business... are they believers? The God-men or God-politicians - would they have taken such risks of manipulating people in the name of God if they really had faith in it? I'm ready to stand by you if you say you need God to keep your stress levels down, to find easy answers to your every difficult question and more importantly lets you to forget a few things; but your belief in this super power is what I deal with real trouble.
