West Bengal is experiencing a very unusual political turmoil. Some say it's winds of change, some are confused about the direction of such a change - will it be for better or worse? With the Assembly election impending in '11, the ruling party has no time to introspect or do damage control. The opposition is, on the other hand, very sure of their win. Blood continues to drench the western forest land. Kolkata silently sheds pollution with 15Y or more old vehicles vanishing from the roads. Smoking is less natural and less intellectual than before with ban in public places. Industrialization is better never than late! Political violence coverage is drawing more TRP than reality television.
Prices of essential commodities have gone thro' the roof. The poor have nowhere to go. The economic recession which ruled the world for last 1-1.5Y is slowly coming to an end - majority of analysts are of that view. The corporate world wants to be the early bird. They are up for an image make-over - employee friendliness is a bull market virtue. But experts are divided about the consequences if all the economic stimuli are pulled out of the system - will it stand on its feet or again fall ill?

After a long time, a movie gave me goose bumps. I started watching Finding Forrester quite reluctantly, on my wife's persuasion. But soon it turned out to be a treat. A beautiful movie that lingers long and makes you tell everyone about it. Catch Sean Connery at his best!
